Information
This impressive building dates back 1,300 years and is located on the bank of the River Thames. One of London’s more unique wedding venues, boasting an extensive history, a Tudor courtyard, and 13 acres of gardens. The venue has played host to many famous guests including King George III and Queen Elizabeth I. It even housed wounded soldiers and local citizens whose homes were bombed during the First World War.
The Courtyard features a beautiful water fountain making it perfect for a drinks reception. It can host up to 350 standing guests or 250 guests for a seated dinner.
The lush, expansive grounds can be hired to host between 30-5,000 guests, creating an ideal blank canvas for a grand wedding!
The Great Hall is the oldest part of the palace and is licensed for ceremonies for up to 110 guests. This space can also hold up to 90 guests for a seated dinner and up 150 for a standing reception.
There are a further three function areas to choose from including Chaplain’s Walled Garden Marquee which can seat up to 180 guests. And the more intimate Bishops Terrick & Sherlock Rooms which seat up to 60 guests.
